Today, Nal’ibali joined the National Library of South Africa, the National Education Collaboration Trust and the Department of Basic Education at Loding Primary School in Mpumalanga to support a special Literacy Month activation.
The day brought children together through books, storytelling and reading activities. Nal’ibali’s mascot, Africa, entertained the children, while FUNda Leader and storyteller Gloria Maponya brought stories to life, creating an engaging and joyful experience around reading.
“Partnerships are critical to building a stronger culture of reading in South Africa. When organisations come together, we can combine our resources, expertise and reach to create more meaningful opportunities for children to engage with books and stories,” said Prudence Erens, Programmes Manager at Nal’ibali.
“Today is a great example of what we can achieve when we work together to put children and literacy at the centre.”
