Three suspects, including one man and two women, have been arrested in connection with the murder of a woman whose body was discovered in Dawn Park, Boksburg, last week
The arrests were made over the weekend by members of the Gauteng Murder and Robbery Unit as investigations continue into a series of murders involving women across Gauteng.
Police found the body of the ninth victim on Thursday, 17 September 2026, in Dawn Park. The discovery followed the recovery of eight other women’s bodies in various parts of Ekurhuleni over the past two months.
The three suspects are expected to appear before the Boksburg Magistrate’s Court on Monday.
Acting National Police Commissioner Lieutenant General Puleng Dimpane said all nine murder cases are receiving priority attention from investigators.
“We remain committed to ensuring that these investigations are pursued with the urgency and determination they require. Our investigators are following all available leads and are working tirelessly to bring those responsible to justice,” said Dimpane.
Police said further details relating to the case will be revealed during court proceedings.
