Volkswagen has officially opened pre-orders for the second-generation T-Roc, giving customers the chance to secure one of the brand’s most anticipated SUVs ahead of its market debut in September 2026
.
Positioned between the Taigo and Tiguan, the new T-Roc strengthens Volkswagen’s expanding T-SUV family, which already includes the T-Cross, Taigo, Tiguan, Tayron and Touareg. With its expressive design, premium interior quality and advanced digital technology, the T-Roc sets a new benchmark in the compact SUV segment while delivering the innovation and driving pleasure that define Volkswagen.
Bold Design, Distinctive Character
The all-new T-Roc introduces a more confident and athletic stance, marked by elongated proportions, sculpted surfaces and a wider presence. Signature styling elements include the silver “hockey stick” line running from the A-pillar to the D-pillar, muscular rear shoulders and a striking new lighting signature.
Standard LED headlights and rear lamps enhance the premium look, while selected derivatives feature Volkswagen’s innovative IQ.LIGHT Matrix headlights with Dynamic Light Assist and full-width illuminated light strips at both the front and rear.
Premium Interior
Inside, the T-Roc has undergone a transformation. The redesigned dashboard features soft-touch materials and a driver-focused layout, elevating both comfort and sophistication. Volkswagen’s latest Digital Cockpit and a 10.3-inch infotainment system come standard, complemented by wireless App-Connect and a multifunction leather steering wheel with shift paddles.
Practicality remains a hallmark of the T-Roc, offering seating for five and a generous 475-litre luggage compartment, making it equally suited to daily commutes and weekend adventures.
Confidence Through Technology
Safety and convenience are central to the T-Roc’s appeal. Standard features include Park Assist and a rear-view camera, while the optional IQ.DRIVE package adds advanced driver assistance systems such as Front Assist with Pedestrian and Cyclist Monitoring, Side Assist, Rear Traffic Alert, Lane Keeping System with Traffic Jam Assist, and Emergency Assist.
Efficient Performance
Under the hood, the all-new T-Roc retains Volkswagen’s familiar 1.4 TSI engine, producing 110kW and 250 Nm of torque, paired with an 8-speed Tiptronic transmission for smooth, efficient performance. The latest model represents a comprehensive refresh in design, technology, and interior sophistication rather than a radical mechanical overhaul.
Local impressions will follow after its official launch in South Africa, offering a closer look at how these updates translate on the road.
